How To Update Second Life

Second Life is an app for macOS that is developed by Secondlife.

Most of the time updating any app on macOS is pretty easy. Why update Second Life? Because updates usually contain security fixes and other improvements that keep your Mac safe and performant. Keeping all your Mac's apps up-to-date is an essential part of maintaining the security and performance of your machine — personally running the latest version of everything on my Mac keeps my mind at ease.

Today I'll show you an easy way to install the very latest version of Second Life onto your Mac, and a really good way to be notified of new updates. Let's get straight to it!

1. The standard way to update Second Life

First, we need to open the app:


Next, on Second Life's menubar, click on "Check For Updates..." or a similar menu item:


If there is an update to Second Life, you will be prompted to install it — pretty easy.

2. Check for the latest version of Second Life with iBoostUp's Check My Apps function:

 - Open iBoostUp (download free, or search for it on the App Store).
 - Click "Check My Apps".
 - Click "Check my Applications Now".




This will check for updates to Second Life and all other apps on your Mac. Using iBoostUp's Check My Apps is the optimal way to check for updates to Second Life and other apps you have installed all in one go, regardless of where you installed them from!
