How To Update Google Sheets

Most of the time updating any app on macOS is pretty easy. Why update Google Sheets? Because updates usually contain security fixes and other improvements that keep your Mac safe and performant. Keeping all your Mac's apps up-to-date is an essential part of maintaining the security and performance of your machine — personally running the latest version of everything on my Mac keeps my mind at ease.

Today I'll show you an easy way to install the very latest version of Google Sheets onto your Mac, and a really good way to be notified of new updates. Let's get straight to it!

1. The standard way to update Google Sheets

First, we need to open the app:
First launch Google Sheets

Next, on Google Sheets's menubar, click on "Check For Updates..." or a similar menu item:
Check For Updates in the Google Sheets macOS app

If there is an update to Google Sheets, you will be prompted to install it — pretty easy.
