How To Update Mechanic

Mechanic is a utilities app for macOS that is developed by Bitdefender.

Most of the time updating any app on macOS is pretty easy. Why update Mechanic? Because updates usually contain security fixes and other improvements that keep your Mac safe and performant. Keeping all your Mac's apps up-to-date is an essential part of maintaining the security and performance of your machine — personally running the latest version of everything on my Mac keeps my mind at ease.

1. The standard way to update Mechanic

First, we need to open the app:


Next, on Mechanic's menubar, click on "Check For Updates..." or a similar menu item:


If there is an update to Mechanic, you will be prompted to install it — pretty easy.

2. Check for the latest version of Mechanic with iBoostUp's Check My Apps function:

 - Click "Check My Apps".
