How To Update Pixlr

Pixlr is a photography app for macOS that is developed by Autodesk.

Most of the time updating any app on macOS is pretty easy. Why update Pixlr? Because updates usually contain security fixes and other improvements that keep your Mac safe and performant. Today I'll show you an easy way to install the very latest version of Pixlr onto your Mac, and a really good way to be notified of new updates. Let's get straight to it!

1. The standard way to update Pixlr

First, we need to open the app:


Next, on Pixlr's menubar, click on "Check For Updates..." or a similar menu item:


If there is an update to Pixlr, you will be prompted to install it — pretty easy.

2. Check for the latest version of Pixlr with iBoostUp's Check My Apps function:

 - Open iBoostUp (download free, or search for it on the App Store).
 - Click "Check My Apps".
 - Click "Check my Applications Now".
