How To Update Adobe Reader

Most of the time updating any app on macOS is pretty easy. Why update Adobe Reader? Because updates usually contain security fixes and other improvements that keep your Mac safe and performant. Keeping all your Mac's apps up-to-date is an essential part of maintaining the security and performance of your machine — personally running the latest version of everything on my Mac keeps my mind at ease.

Today I'll show you an easy way to install the very latest version of Adobe Reader onto your Mac, and a really good way to be notified of new updates. Let's get straight to it!

1. The standard way to update Adobe Reader

First, we need to open the app:
First launch Adobe Reader

Next, on Adobe Reader's menubar, click on "Check For Updates..." or a similar menu item:

If there is an update to Adobe Reader, you will be prompted to install it — pretty easy.


2. Check for the latest version of Adobe Reader with iBoostUp's Check My Apps function:
