How To Uninstall Nikon Movie Editor

1. The standard and easiest way to uninstall Nikon Movie Editor:

First, we need to make sure the app isn't running, so lets open Force Quit (from the Apple menu on the top left of your screen) and terminate the app if you see it running:


 - Now, open your Applications folder.
 - Right-click on "Nikon Movie Editor".
 - Click on "Move to Bin" (or "Move to Trash" on older versions of macOS)

2. How to remove Nikon Movie Editor using the Terminal:

 - Open the macOS Terminal from Applications > Utilities.
 - Type killall "Nikon Movie Editor", hit ENTER
 - Type rm -rf "/Applications/Nikon Software/ViewNX 2/Nikon Movie Editor.app", then hit ENTER.
 - If that fails, try typing sudo rm -rf "/Applications/Nikon Software/ViewNX 2/Nikon Movie Editor.app"
 - Now type rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.nikon.nikonmovieeditor, hit ENTER.

3. Completely remove Nikon Movie Editor and related files using iBoostUp's Uninstaller:

 - Open iBoostUp (download free, or search for it on the App Store).
 - Click "App Uninstaller".
 - Click "Select Application", then select "Nikon Movie Editor" from the list and click "Uninstall".
 - Enter your password if prompted, you may choose to skip this by clicking cancel — note that skipping this prompt will leave some files behind that you can remove manually, these will be shown as 'skipped' on the results screen.

This will remove Nikon Movie Editor and all related files from your Mac.
