How To Uninstall Google Drive

1. The standard and easiest way to uninstall Google Drive:

First, we need to make sure the app isn't running, so lets open Force Quit (from the Apple menu on the top left of your screen) and terminate the app if you see it running:


 - Now, open your Applications folder.
 - Right-click on "Google Drive".
 - Click on "Move to Bin" (or "Move to Trash" on older versions of macOS)

2. How to remove Google Drive using the Terminal:

 - Open the macOS Terminal from Applications > Utilities.
 - Type killall "Backup and Sync", hit ENTER
 - Type rm -rf "/Applications/Backup and Sync from Google 2.app", then hit ENTER.
 - If that fails, try typing sudo rm -rf "/Applications/Backup and Sync from Google 2.app"
 - Now type rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.google.googledrive, hit ENTER.

3. Completely remove Google Drive and related files using iBoostUp's Uninstaller:

 - Open iBoostUp (download free, or search for it on the App Store).
 - Click "App Uninstaller".
 - Click "Select Application", then select "Google Drive" from the list and click "Uninstall".
 - Enter your password if prompted, you may choose to skip this by clicking cancel — note that skipping this prompt will leave some files behind that you can remove manually, these will be shown as 'skipped' on the results screen.

This will remove Google Drive and all related files from your Mac.
