How To Uninstall Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

1. The standard and easiest way to uninstall Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client:

First, we need to make sure the app isn't running, so lets open Force Quit (from the Apple menu on the top left of your screen) and terminate the app if you see it running:


 - Now, open your Applications folder.
 - Right-click on "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client".
 - Click on "Move to Bin" (or "Move to Trash" on older versions of macOS)

2. How to remove Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client using the Terminal:

 - Open the macOS Terminal from Applications > Utilities.
 - Type killall "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client", hit ENTER
 - Type rm -rf "/Applications/Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.app", then hit ENTER.
 - If that fails, try typing sudo rm -rf "/Applications/Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.app"
 - Now type rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.cisco.vpn, hit ENTER.

This will remove Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client from your Mac, but some supporting and related files will be left behind. Read on for how to remove those.

3. Completely remove Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client and related files using iBoostUp's Uninstaller:

 - Open iBoostUp (download free, or search for it on the App Store).
 - Click "App Uninstaller".
 - Click "Select Application", then select "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client" from the list and click "Uninstall".
 - Enter your password if prompted, you may choose to skip this by clicking cancel — note that skipping this prompt will leave some files behind that you can remove manually, these will be shown as 'skipped' on the results screen.

This will remove Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client and all related files from your Mac.
